Aligning our vision as founders

The past few weeks have been an exciting time for Euquista. In early September, Pim reached out with a proposal that felt like the perfect next step. He mentioned that he was ready to dedicate more time to Euquista and suggested that we begin organizing weekly chats to align on our vision for the company.

The idea wasn’t to dive into building the product just yet, but instead to focus on the foundational aspects of the company—its mission, vision, and values. We wanted to make sure that we were aligned not only on what we wanted to build but also on how we wanted to build it. These discussions would shape everything about the company in the long term.

Starting in early September, we began meeting each week, discussing key topics such as:

  • What do we want the mission and vision of Euquista to be?
  • How do we view company growth, and how big do we want to grow in the future?
  • What kind of work culture do we want to foster, and how do we view our relationships with employees?
  • How should we approach finance, and what financial principles are important to us?
  • How do we envision internationalization, and how do we see Euquista’s global potential?

These conversations have been incredibly valuable. We’re not rushing into product development; instead, we’re laying a strong foundation that will guide us as we move forward. It’s all about aligning on the soft skills—the principles and values that will define what kind of company Euquista will become.

We’ve found this process of intentional reflection to be both grounding and inspiring. It’s exciting to think about the future, knowing that we’re starting with a clear and shared vision.
