The idea of building a new SaaS company had been brewing in my mind for quite some time. After spending over 10 years as the director of a SaaS company, I realized how much I love building products—products that add real value to people’s lives, empowering them to simplify their work and daily routines. This passion for creating solutions that make a difference pushed me to start thinking about a new venture in early 2022.

Throughout the year, I kept coming back to the idea, exploring what it might look like and who I would want by my side on this journey. By the end of 2022, it became clear that it was time to take action. I needed a partner to turn this vision into reality, someone with strong expertise in software development, a professional who could complement my own skills in product and business.

That’s when I thought of Pim, one of my ex-colleagues. We had worked together for over 10 years, and I had always appreciated his professionalism and skill. Pim is not just a developer; he’s an exceptional one, with a depth of experience that would be essential for this new venture. More than that, he’s someone I genuinely enjoyed working with.

Towards the end of 2022, Pim and I started discussing the idea. I was thrilled to see that our visions aligned so well. We both wanted to create a company that wasn’t just about building software, but about building solutions that truly make a difference.

We left that first conversation with a simple agreement: we would each go home, think about it more deeply, and stay in touch. That conversation was the spark, the true beginning of Euquista. It set the foundation for what we hope to build—a company that’s about more than just software, but about creating products that empower businesses to thrive.
